General Info

Big Jim performs most often as a Solo or Duo with piano man John Stilwagen.

The Solo shows feature Jim cooking up a good blues soup seasoned with a lot of thumb thumpin' country blues, a goodly portion of Big Jim's first love in music "slidin' swampy delta blues", some sweet small town stories and a large helping of good time.

When John Stilwagen joins in, it's a tasty blend of down home country sensibility and big city style.  John's expertise on the keys adds a whole lot a flavor (tabasco sauce baby).  These two make for some great music that borders on too much fun.

To that we can add some back beat and rubboard fun when drummer/percussist Dave Deason joins in.

When the full band is in the house "you best buckle in for a high energy Blues Explosion", these cats flat get down.  Joining John and Jim in the kitchen is Andy Baldwin "the reverend of Funk" on drums.  He stirs the soup and makes it funky style, Verolen Kersey holding up the bottom providing for a thick base (Bass) that gives the simply amazing Frank Perez (the Boston Bluesman) just the right start for adding all kinds of spicy licks on lead guitar.
