"The Reverend of Groove" Andy Baldwin Andy “Clyde” Baldwin is the Reverend of groove for the Jim Adam Blues Band. Andy, since age 16, toured up and down the East Coast and Southeastern U.S., laying down the beat for various R&B and Southern Soul groups such as the “Differentials", "Swinging Medallions” and “Pieces of Eight”. It's all about the groove...the funk has been my inspiration since hearing James Brown at a young age. Everything in the universe is 'hip' with the groove ...and swings," says Andy. He has been playing drums since age 12 and since moving to Colorado Springs in 1994 has been working with Jim on various projects. He provides the backbone for the Jim Adam Blues Band. Andy is one bad mama jamma… give him a set of brushes and a cardboard box and let him go to town on a groove… no joke!

"The Boston Bluesman"' Frank Perez Frank first picked up the guitar at the age of 13 and quickly developed his skills by listening to artists most of his peers never heard of. Artists like Al DiMeola, Yngwie Malmsteen and Alex Lifeson helped to develop his keen sense of melody and attention to technique. If you listen you can pick up some of his earlier influences but when the band kicks up the blues, there's no doubt as to who is his influences are. You can hear traces of Albert, B.B. & Freddie King as well as Albert Collins, Alan Haynes, Jimi Hendrix and, of course, SRV. "These blues greats allowed me to look at music from a different artistic perspective" says Frank, "recording music is really rewarding but playing live is what I really love...it's about a raw energy I exchange with the band and with the audience...that's where it's at for me!"

"The Long Island King Of The Keys" John Stilwagen John is originally from Long Island and moved to Colorado in the Spring of 1993. He has enjoyed much of the music scene in previous years traveling with various bands across the U.S. and Canada. Although his playing experience extends from classical to rock and roll and everything in between (country, funk, ragtime, new age, etc.), John is relatively new to the blues scene. Having learned by ear at the age of 13, he has taken lessons for a couple of years, then was self-taught, absorbing all he could from different forms of styles. John has shared the stage with notables such as: Deanna Bogart, Leon Blue (of B.B. King), Jimmy Thackery, Ruthie Foster, Anthony Gomes, Jimbo Mathis, Beverly "Guitar" Watkins, Tab Benoit, Buddy Whittington (of John Mayall), Erica Brown and Jill Watkins. John is current playing with Big Jim Adam both in a duo arrangement and in his full Blues band. Big Jim & John were 2011 International Blues Challenge Finalists in the Solo/Duo Category.

Hailing originally from Minnesota, Pete Berg has lived in Colorado Springs since 2005 and has performed with the Jim Adam Blues Band since 2009. Pete's background is deeply rooted in jazz and swing music, and he can also occasionally be seen with The Springs Contemporary Jazz Big Band as well. In additon, he has played for 15 years in The Dick King Classic Swing Band, one of the very last territory big bands in the United States. Pete's musical travels have included performing at the 1999 Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, recording several albums with a variety of musical aggregations, and sharing the stage with such artists as Prudence Johnson, and Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. He is a student of internationally acclaimed trumpeters Bobby Shew and Roger Ingram.

Jared Johnson is a freelance saxophonist based in Denver, CO. He has been a member of the Jim Adam Blues Band since 2009 and performs frequently with various musical groups including the Jim Adam Blues Band, Tempa and the Tantrums and the Jared Johnson Trio. As a long standing member of Tempa and the Tantrums, Jared has shared the stage with Otis Taylor, Tab Benoit, Chubby Carrier, Sharrie Williams, Michael Hornbuckle and many others. Among his performance credits are the 2005 Montreux Jazz festival in Montreux Switzerland, the Trinidaddio Blues Festival in Trinidad CO, the 2009 Ritzville Music Festival in Spokane WA and the 2004 South by Southwest music festival in Austin, TX. Jared was also a member of the winning collegiate ensemble and was recognized for outstanding musicianship at the 2004 Eau Claire Jazz Festival.
